ONE DAY. ONE CHALLENGE.

FIND THE MOVE THAT SHIFTS EVERYTHING.

“You’ll have to see the difference,
before you can make the difference.”

You already know what the problem is. You have known for a while. What you don't have is distance. Inside your organisation everyone has looked at it from the same side, in the same meetings, with the same assumptions. So you keep asking "how can we do this better?" and never get to "could this be different?"

Breakthrough in a Day gives you that distance. You put your own challenge in a room with around 20 other leaders and entrepreneurs, each working on theirs. Outside eyes, honest questions, no politics. People who don't work where you work see what your own team stopped seeing a long time ago.

It is not a conference and it is not a lecture. Nobody teaches you a theory all day. You work on your own challenge, with a method shaped over two decades of practice, guided by facilitators who keep the day moving and the conversation honest.

Most organisations spend everything they have on exploitation: getting better at what already works, hitting this quarter’s targets, defending the position they’ve already built. Only a fraction of that effort is spend on innovation: discovering what might work in the future, testing an idea just to see what happens, spotting a pattern nobody has pointed out yet.

How you connect these two almost opposite forces in your organisation, that’s the fingerprint of your leadership. Get the mix wrong one way and you stall: all exploitation, no exploration. Get it wrong the other way and you scatter: all exploration, nothing to show for it.

The Futures Ready Framework is how we design that choice with intent instead of by accident.

A challenge you can say in one sentence. Most problems are fuzzy because they are too big or too vague. You sharpen yours until you and everyone around you knows exactly what you are solving, and why it matters to you.

A clear read on what is really going on. What pushes your challenge, what holds it back, and what is coming at you from outside your walls that you have been underestimating. You see the difference, so you can make the difference.

Options, not just the first idea in the room. Most bad decisions come from too few choices. Don't only ask "can this be better?" Ask "can this be different?" You leave with several directions and a sense of which one deserves your energy.

One move you can start with. Not a bigger plan. A small, well aimed first step. What to try, how to test it small, what to measure.

Backing for the road ahead. You know who will resist, why, and how to handle it. And you leave with peers who know your challenge and want to see it move.

By the end of the day, you have five things
you did not have when you walked in.

TAKE AWAYS OF THE DAY

What is the challenge, really? Name it, scope it, and find out why it matters to you.

What is happening outside your walls? Trends, forces and shifts that help or hurt you.

Where does the system pivot? Who is involved, what is connected, and where a small push changes a lot.

What could a solution look like? Look through the eyes of the people you do it for, and get past the obvious answer.

How do you make it real? Turn a direction into an experiment you can test.

How do you bring people along? Resistance, habits, motivation and trust, the part most plans skip.

What is your playbook? Goals, one measure that matters, and the next best action.

The hardest part of a breakthrough is to create space to re-think. This is the space.

One full day, in person. We open with a proper framing of the day and close with a retrospective, so the insight lands and does not evaporate on the train home.

Around 20 participants, all from different organisations. Everyone brings their own challenge. Nobody is there to watch.

Facilitated small groups. You work with people who have no stake in your politics, which is exactly why they are useful.

We work backwards from possible futures. We don't try to predict what comes. We look at several futures and think back from them to what you can do now.

A safe space, on purpose. Honest work needs a room where you can say "I don't know yet" out loud. We set that up from the first half hour.

Paced in beats, not one long grind. Real breaks, real lunch, energy that holds until the end.
