A new round in our cardgame project. Through Jan Rapmund ( our partner at the Executive Network), I've been connected with MindGame, a local game studio specializing in serious games. Their focus on non-digital formats, including board games and large-scale games for 50+ players. This aligns perfectly with our needs.

Gerard their game master and I are set to discuss possible game designs. We've made significant progress in our thinking in a few brainstorm sessions, particularly regarding point assignment and card characteristics (defining the underlying economy). Gerard's idea of card strings representing specific moves, like Agile being an aggregation of 5 different patterns, is intriguing, though I wonder if he's leaning too heavily towards complex game mechanics. This for me looks and feels like a game but it is 'just' a form of interaction and dialogue. The game look & feel is to make it more intuitive, to nudge them out of their thinking habits.

We're now exploring several directions:

1. A simulation-style board game to better understand the dynamics in a team

2. A quick & dirty desk game focusing on pattern comprehension, potentially requiring more online tools.

3. Several mirco games and challenges

This collaboration with MindGame feels promising. I'm hopeful this final attempt will bring our card game vision to fruition. At the same time, as mentioned before... if this is not a real game are we then not just hiring them as designers... and isn't it cheaper then to go to Fiverr?!

Still in divergent mode, thinking in different options. Board game, simulation, micro-game, desktop game or more an AI chat engine.
