I've been reflecting about how my unique approach often gets described as unconventional or fresh. People say I quickly grasp core issues, think steps ahead, maintain overview, and simplify complex matters. It dawned on me that these traits stem from one key ability: pattern recognition. I'm a systems thinker through and through.

This way of perceiving the world felt limiting at first - different thinking, different humor. But I've turned it into my strength and career. I'm deeply inspired by Christopher Alexander's Pattern Language and the TRIZ system; https://www.patternlanguage.com/

Patterns bring clarity to complexity for me, but it's challenging to explain. It's like learning a new language - an Esperanto for organizational change. I'm bilingual in big picture and detail, using the Hoby sphere to illustrate.

The Hoberman sphere can become 1 meter wide

Jeroen's artwork shares similarities, perhaps explaining his Bauhaus influence. We're slowly developing a new language, which might seem futile now but could prove invaluable when experimenting with AI. For now, these patterns simmer beneath the surface, waiting for their moment.

And Jeroen is secretly hiding patterns an structures in everything we do ;-)))

An interesting read; Dyslexic thinking is defined as “an approach to problem-solving, assessing information, and learning, often used by people with dyslexia, it involves pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, lateral thinking, and interpersonal communication.”
