I'm working with Jeroen on a compelling visual language for WWXD The starting point is the WWXD pattern, with X representing the great unknown that propels us forward. It's fascinating how this concept aligns with the definition of Hostmanship = 'stranger friendship'. In essence, it's an ode to alienation, which is both intriguing and slightly unsettling.

WWXD stands for an iterative proces.

We've been using tape to create the X, a familiar tool for any facilitator. The letter X itself symbolizes Mystery (wonder), Pivoting (change), Crossing (different perspectives), and Multiplication (scale).

And taking bold positions to see the red thread

We are experimenting with bold lines. The tape form adds layers of meaning: Pragmatism (action), Obstacle (trigger), Connections (linking), and Precision (like X marks the spot on a treasure map).

I'm excited about the potential of this tape-X becoming a font or a method for drawing patterns. It reminds me of the Vetter Edding 800 marker - bold and lacking nuance, which can be advantageous at times!!

Combine seemingly opposite element

The beauty of this concept lies in its ability to combine seemingly opposite elements: hard and soft, system and human, overview and insight, abstract and concrete, creative and planned. It encourages us to see both sides, to strengthen connections, and to envision more possibilities.
