Today's challenge: Organizing our toolkit. We've neatly divided 21 capacities into 7 folders, each containing 50-100 tools we typically use when working on a specific theme. But I can't expect anyone to go through all these folders easily.

Tools are not checklists, they are obstacles for the mind

I've noticed that tools are often misused or treated as mere checklists. People say, "Great, the stakeholder map is done." But is it ever really "done"? These tools are meant to be reflection instruments, sharpening our thoughts and decisions. They're not forms to fill out but obstacles for the mind, forcing us to explore different perspectives, find the core issues, and recognize alternatives.

The output of one tools is input for another tool

Tools and working models are interconnected. The output of one model becomes input for another. I realized this when I recognized the relationship between Abell and Ansoff, for example.

Tools are reflection instruments... you are never 'done'.

We need to find a way to make these tools easily accessible, inviting, and part of a larger whole. They should foster the understanding that the work is never truly "finished." I'm considering creating a map with 21 sections, each sketching a capacity or working model. \\

Mapping out al tools!

I'll ask my friend Jefta if we can create one illustration per capacity each week in the coming period.

This approach could help us and future clients to better utilize our toolkit and understand the interconnected nature of our work.
