This week, I started writing some new WWXDs. I want to test the editorial process in terms of time and effort, but also to have some results to show. I began with a couple of fantastic examples that, in my opinion, perfectly embody the Amormundi philosophy:

"What Would A Dancing Priest Do?" "What Would a Star Sushi Chef Do?"

These are two amazing stories. One about manifesting engagement and reconciling conflicting values, the other about holding onto traditions while embracing daily improvement, Kaizen-style - becoming a little better at making sushi every day for 900 years. What I want to tell or what makes the user learn?!

For me, these examples were spot-on, bringing tears to my eyes as I wrote them. However, when I shared them this week, I didn't see the same enthusiasm. People appreciated the stories and characters, agreeing that "it makes sense." But when I gave other examples like Musk, Nike, Slack, or Patagonia, their ears really perked up. I build mock-up site to test a bit more on these user-hypothesis and maybe later on their willingness to subscribe for € xx,xx? https://arj457.wixsite.com/wwxd-demo

Prototyping WWXD stories. Ik keep failing these tests and that is a good thing (for now)

It's good that I created these examples for feedback; it's another moment of letting go. If I want to get users to look at the future and their environment with an open mind, I shouldn't use examples that are too far removed. I need to find role models that inspire and have authority for our user group, which are mainly organizations. Fortunately, I have many great examples in that area too. So, new round, new opportunities!
